What is diabetes?

Diabetes is too much sugar in blood and urine..Diabetes can be controlled through awareness and education.A diabetic person needs to exercise regularly.A diabetic person must also follow a strict diet regime.Drugs and insulin are used to  control diabetes..
There are two types of diabetes..They are
1.Insulin dependent
Affects children and adolescents.
2.Non-insulin dependent
Affects overweight  and obese adults.
Important risk factors:
a.Hereditary factor.
b.Obesity.
c.Sedentary life.
d.Ageing.
Syptoms of diabetes:
a.Excessive thirst.
b.Increased appetite.
c.Frequent urination.
d.Loss of weight.
e.Easy tiredness.(fatigue)
f.Slow healing of cuts and wounds.
